What Is the Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH)?

The Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH) is the national currency of Ukraine since September 1996. The Karbovanets, used during the two World Wars, was replaced by the Hryvnia in 1996 at a rate of 100,000 Karbovanets to one Hryvnia.
