People aged 18 and above can access the browser-based platform starting today, with tiered creation access rolling out based on a user's Google One membership, according to Google. Later this year, the companies will launch Unity Spark, which will be combined with Playground to offer professional-level mechanics and high-fidelity 3D features, enabling creators to build immersive gaming experiences, according to a statement. The collaboration is centered around Google's experimental Playground, a platform that allows users age 18 and older to generate and customize playable games using natural language, according to a statement. The companies will build on Playground to introduce a new expanded creation experience called Unity Spark later in the year, they said. Unity Spark will have an accessible interface, along with robust, professional-level mechanics, high-fidelity 3D capabilities and Unity's runtime, the companies said.
