Ethereum Foundation member: EF will focus on addressing MEV extraction and privacy shortcomings to make Ethereum a truly capture-resistant, permissionless infrastructureAccording to ChainCatcher, Aerugo, a member of the Ethereum Foundation (EF) management and CSA Operator, published a post systematically outlining the mission of EF. Aerugo stated that the core mission of EF is to ensure that Ethereum becomes and remains truly permissionless sovereign infrastructure: censorship-resistant, un-captureable, open-source, private, and secure, supporting large-scale coordination without the need for trusted intermediaries. He emphasized that EF’s work focuses on eliminating extractive and capture risks that may arise at the Ethereum protocol layer, especially MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) issues and the core challenge of lacking privacy-by-default. Aerugo described MEV as “the main battlefield of the next cypherpunk war,” and pointed out that “a public ledger without serious privacy by default is simply settlement-guaranteed surveillance infrastructure.”

After Starmer’s resignation, bond traders are most concerned about who will take charge of the UK’s financesReeves has consistently adhered to her fiscal rules, which require covering the government’s daily spending with tax revenues while gradually reducing the national debt burden. After years of political turmoil, this stance has helped calm market sentiment. These fiscal rules have also become a core policy label during Starmer’s tenure, with investors having repeatedly opposed any signs of fiscal discipline being relaxed. For this reason, Andy Burnham, who has confirmed his intention to run for Prime Minister, has also explicitly ruled out the possibility of changing the existing fiscal framework. Jordan Rochester, Head of Fixed Income, FX, and Commodities Strategy for EMEA at Mizuho, stated, “Compared to Burnham, I’m more concerned about who will become Chancellor. I seriously doubt whether Reeves will be able to continue in the post.”
