Data: Ethereum's on-chain yield in Q2 drops to 2.68%, down 61% year-on-yearAccording to ChainCatcher, citing The DeFi Report's Ethereum Q2 Ecosystem Performance Report, Ethereum's real economic value (REV) in Q2 was 88.4 million US dollars, up 7% quarter-over-quarter, but down 68% year-over-year. The report shows that the average real on-chain yield in Q2 was only 0.17%, a decrease of 14% quarter-over-quarter and 61% year-over-year; the total on-chain yield (including issuance) was 2.68%, with the issuance portion accounting for 94%, and priority fees and MEV contributing only 0.17%. L1 GDP, DeFi activity, and L2 participation all continued to decline significantly. The report notes that although user experience and throughput have improved, L1's fee capture capability remains weak. In the future, real-world assets and other practical applications will be needed as settlement layers to smooth cyclical fluctuations.
