Bitget Gold/Indices copy trading upgraded

2026-06-18 06:00052
To help users manage Gold/Indices copy trading positions with greater flexibility, Bitget has upgraded the Gold/Indices copy trading parameter settings. This update adds several advanced parameters and supports parameter change history queries. Both copy trading modes, fixed ratio and fixed lots, have been enhanced. See below for details.
The feature is now available on the Bitget app (iOS / Android 2.85.0 and above). Update to the latest version to access it.

Copy trading modes

  • Fixed ratio: The system calculates copy lot sizes based on the equity ratio between your account and the elite trader's account.
Copy lots = elite trader's lot size × copier equity before position opening ÷ elite trader's equity after opening
This mode is suitable for users whose account equity is close to that of the elite trader and who want the copy trading lot size to adjust dynamically based on equity.
  • Fixed lots: The copy order opens with the fixed lot size you specify, regardless of the elite trader's lot size. The default size is 0.01 lots. Quick-select presets available: 0.01, 0.1, 1, and 10 lots.

New advanced parameters

  • Custom lot multiplier (in fixed ratio mode only): You can follow the elite trader's lot size using a custom multiplier instead of the default equity-ratio calculation.
    • Copy lots = lot multiplier × elite trader's lot size
    • Supported range: 1–10, positive integers only
    • The field is left blank by default. When blank, the default equity-ratio calculation applies.
    • Use case: Adopting Expert Advisor (EA) hedging strategies, maintaining a 1:1 lot ratio with the elite trader, and avoiding lot size deviations caused by equity ratio rounding.
  • Maximum lot size per copy trade (in fixed ratio mode only): It limits the maximum lot size that can be opened for each copy order to better mitigate risk per trade.
    • Supported range: 0.01–100, up to two decimal places
    • The field is left blank by default, meaning no limit is imposed.
    • Use case: When your account equity is significantly higher than the elite trader's equity, it helps reduce the risk exposure of a single order.
  • Take profit / stop loss (supported in both copy trading modes): You can set a take-profit or stop-loss amount for each copied position. When a position is opened, the system automatically calculates and sets the corresponding prices.
    • Minimum amount: 10 USDT (positive integers only)
    • If you modify the global take-profit or stop-loss amount, the updated settings will apply only to newly opened positions. Existing positions are unaffected.

Once copy trading has started, you can modify parameters by selecting

Updated parameters apply only to new copy orders opened after the changes are saved. Existing positions are not affected.

New feature: Parameter change history

Each time you save Gold/Indices copy trading parameters, the system records a snapshot of the configuration.
Navigation path: Copy trading parameter editing page → Clock icon in the upper right corner →
Settings history
This makes it easier to review past parameter changes and check the settings used at a specific time.
Notes
  • The setting may fail if the calculated TP/SL price does not meet MT5 minimum order distance requirements, or if your current account equity is lower than the specified take-profit or stop-loss amount.
  • If the calculated copy lot size is below the minimum order size of the trading instrument, the copy position will not be opened.
  • In fixed lots mode, if your maximum openable lot size is lower than the fixed lot size you set, the copy position will fail to open. The system will not use your maximum openable lot size as a fallback lot size.
