Crypto pundits doubt Solana ETF will find approval any time soon — at least under this administration

Legal experts say VanEck’s Solana ETF filing will face many hurdles seen by previous attempts to list Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, including potential market surveillance and manipulation concerns. Many also say such funds are inevitable — though it may require a change of leadership at the SEC.A lack of a futures market for Solana and the SEC’s opinion that the asset is a security are also likely roadblocks.

LayerZero will upgrade the default DVN configuration to 3-of-3 on July 9 and plans to deprecate the v1 relayer.
Foresight News reports that LayerZero has released an update announcement, planning to upgrade the default path configuration for Endpoint v1 and v2 on July 9. Specifically: the default configuration for Endpoint v2 will be raised from 2-of-2 to a minimum of 3-of-3; the default library for Endpoint v1 will be switched from ULNv2 to ULNv301. This change only affects applications using the default settings and is expected to cause a brief interruption of about 15 minutes. In addition, LayerZero will deprecate the relayer servicing v1 (ULNv2) on August 3. Teams currently using ULNv2 need to reset to ULNv301, otherwise message delivery will cease. Regarding secure clients, LayerZero will rename the original TypeScript version of Gasolina to Aegis and simultaneously launch a Rust version of the Veritas verification client. Both will run in parallel to enhance RPC consensus robustness. At the same time, LayerZero plans to upgrade all multisig thresholds to 5-of-7 in June and to further increase them to 7-of-10 by the end of summer.
