Sweden’s core inflation in May slightly exceeded expectations but remains low, and the central bank is expected to keep interest rates unchanged.(1) Sweden’s core inflation rate in May rose slightly higher than analysts expected, which may help ease policymakers’ concerns about the potential consequences of the Iran conflict. Preliminary data from Sweden’s statistics bureau showed that excluding energy, the inflation rate rose to 0.5% in May, compared to 0% in the previous month, which was close to a three-decade low. The analysts’ median forecast was 0.3%, while the Swedish central bank predicted 0.9% in March. (2) European central bank governors are closely monitoring whether energy price increases due to the Middle East war are broadly pushing costs higher. Meanwhile, Sweden's inflation rate has declined in recent months as food and fuel tax cuts have helped households cope with soaring prices. (3) The Swedish central bank stated it expects to keep interest rates unchanged at 1.75% in the short term, waiting for more data. The bank also indicated that the risk of persistent upward price pressures remains.

Arkham: Zcash Chain Halt in Question, or Merely Delay in Block Explorer UpdateBlockBeats News, June 4th. According to the crypto data platform Arkham Intelligence, multiple block explorers for the privacy coin Zcash did not show new block confirmations in the past few hours, sparking community discussion on whether the network had come to a halt.
Arkham stated that after filtering Zcash's on-chain transaction records, no new on-chain transfer records had been observed for over 5 hours, leading some users to speculate that the Zcash network might have stopped producing blocks. However, there is currently no evidence to suggest a complete mainnet shutdown. Some community members suggested that the issue might lie with data nodes that the block explorers rely on experiencing failures rather than a disruption in the Zcash consensus network itself. Meanwhile, some Zcash mining pool monitoring pages still showed continuous production of new blocks.
Another speculation is related to a recent network upgrade. On May 29th, the development team discovered a vulnerability in the Orchard Shielded Pool and completed a fix and network upgrade on June 1st. Some developers believe that block explorers may be experiencing synchronization delays after the upgrade and are currently catching up with the latest block data.
As of the time of publication, the Zcash official team has not confirmed a network halt, and the root cause of the issue is still under investigation. If it is later confirmed to be only an issue with block explorers or node synchronization, it will not affect on-chain consensus and fund security. However, if it is confirmed to be a mainnet block production anomaly, it may impact transaction confirmations and network stability.
The situation is still developing, and the community is actively monitoring Zcash nodes, mining pools, and block height changes.

UBS: This year’s air cargo capacity growth is expected to lag behind potential demand growth, indirectly enhancing the pricing power of airlines in the Asia-Pacific region.Glonghui June 4th|UBS Asia transportation industry analyst Yang Yupeng stated that this year, the growth of airline capacity is expected to be lower than the growth of potential demand. The aircraft supply shortage is mainly due to slow production progress, caused by factors such as supply chain issues, insufficient aircraft retirements leading to fewer available used spare parts, and a shortage of experienced technical labor. This has indirectly strengthened the pricing power of airlines in the Asia-Pacific region. Different airlines are expected to show divergent growth performances, depending on their market positioning.
