AI supercycle drives explosive performance, Samsung chip division employees receive 100% performance bonusGolden Ten Data reported on July 6 that Samsung Electronics announced on Monday that employees in its semiconductor business will receive a performance bonus of up to 100% of their base salary in the first half of this year. This generous bonus level is the same as in the second half of last year and will be distributed on Wednesday. The bonus distribution comes as the semiconductor industry is entering an unprecedented AI super cycle, with high-bandwidth memory (HBM) shipments continuing to rise. Analysts estimate that in just the first half of this year, Samsung's memory chip division achieved an operating profit of about 140 trillion won (approximately $91 billion USD). The full-year operating profit may approach 350 trillion won. Samsung is scheduled to announce its second-quarter earnings guidance on Tuesday.
