Metaplanet: Strongly Considering Stock Buyback When mNAV is Less Than 1, Bitcoin Yield is Key Performance MetricBlockBeats News, June 9th: Bitcoin treasury company Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich posted on social media:
"BTC Yield is our key performance metric, and our capital allocation is focused on maximizing this metric for our shareholders. Stock buyback is a core element of our capital allocation policy (established on October 28, 2025). As previously disclosed, when the price-to-book ratio is below 1.0x, we will actively consider repurchasing common stock to maximize the BTC Yield, and the lower the price-to-book ratio, the greater the potential appreciation effect.
Buyback remains a key tool in our capital allocation policy. Of course, any buyback must comply with applicable insider trading and disclosure rules, including restrictions on material non-public information and monthly disclosure requirements. Therefore, we cannot comment on the specific timing, status, or execution of any buybacks until proper disclosure is made.
This statement should not be construed as implying that we are currently or will be conducting buybacks at any specific time."

Metaplanet CEO: When mNAV is below 1x, stock buybacks help improve BTC yieldForesight News reports that Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich posted on Twitter that BTC Yield is the company's most important KPI, and the core goal of the company's capital allocation is to maximize shareholders' BTC Yield. When the modified net asset value (mNAV) is below 1x, repurchasing company shares may be one of the effective ways to increase BTC Yield, and the lower the mNAV, the more significant the improvement. The company will continue to consider share repurchases as an important capital allocation option. However, he also emphasized that any actual repurchase must strictly comply with insider trading regulations and monthly disclosure obligations, and therefore, no comments will be made regarding specific implementation timing or circumstances until proper disclosure is made. This statement does not indicate that the company is currently undertaking or planning a share repurchase at any particular time.
