Trader requirements
Before we go to Step 1, let’s review the requirements here first. You may very well call it Step 0 - a base for what we are going to do next.
(1) Application requirements:
• You have absolutely no open positions, open orders and/or trigger orders in any of your futures accounts (the unified Futures account, the Isolated Margin account(s) and the demo account);
• You are not following any trader at the time of application;
• You can only register one account as a trader for Bitget Copy Trade.
(2) Deposit requirements: We have a tiered follower system that is consistent with the amount of equity (in USDT) in traders’ account as follows:
• For futures traders:
Total equity in futures account (USDT, rounded down) |
Maximum number of followers |
0 - 499 |
0 |
500 - 999 |
100 |
1,000 - 4,999 |
300 |
More than 5,000 |
500 |
• For spot traders:
Total equity in spot account (USDT, rounded down) |
Maximum number of followers |
0 - 99 |
0 |
100 - 999 |
100 |
1,000 - 4,999 |
300 |
More than 5,000 |
500 |
Once the number of your followers has reached the maximum target, you’ll automatically receive an additional 10% of your current limit.
If your account balance declines and pushes you down the lower tier, all your current followers won’t be affected. They are still able to copy any of your new trades and orders. However, if any of them decide to unfollow you, they won’t be able to follow you again unless you deposit more equity into your account or until you have fewer followers than the current tier’s limit.
(3) Trader List requirements:
• Only when your futures account balance remains above 500 USDT or your spot account balance above 100 USDT will you be displayed on the Trader List of Bitget One-Click Copy Trade. Please remember to update your account balance regularly as our Trader List is updated every hour;
• You have to already complete at least one order supported by the platform;
• Your followers won’t be affected if you no longer appear on the list; it’s to give you gain exposure to the community.
Application process
Our application process is simply one click away from your Bitget Copy Trade site. Click on Be an elite trader, fill in the information carefully, read agree to the Trader Agreement terms and submit your application.
We will review your application and get back to you at the speed of light ;). In the meantime, think about which name you want to use as well as a matching avatar for your trader profile as you won’t be able to change your name and avatar once they’re set.
I’m already a trader. Now what?
First of all, congratulations for becoming a rader and creating a whole new stream of income for yourself. You will want to execute the first trade for your followers and followers-to-be to copy by clicking on Initiate trade on the Copy Trade page, opening a position on the Bitget Futures trading page or placing an order on the Bitget Spot trading page.
You can directly set take profit and stop loss under Shared Trades on the futures page (for futures traders), Current Copy Trades on the spot page (for spot traders) or My Trades on the Copy Trading page. You can set a price of a percentage to take profit and stop loss.
Need to check your position data? Go to the Copy Trade page and click My Trades. This shows your shared trades, history, details, etc.
Close your position(s)
If you wish to close your position(s), go to Shared Trades on the futures page, Current Copy Trades on the spot page or My Trades on the Copy Trading page to proceed.
Some notes on the closing process:
• For futures traders: futures copy trades cannot be closed via Positions on the futures page;
• Copy trades must be closed one by one by clicking onto Details of My Trades or in bulk (possible for trades of the same direction and same margin only) by clicking onto Summary of My Trades;
• Traders can only close their positions at the market price;
• Traders cannot close their positions via using trailing order and/or trigger order.
Managing personal settings
Your personal settings are available through Copy Trade - My Trades - Personal Settings. Avatar is optional, but nickname must reflect your email or phone number. On the Trader List, your name will remain the same as your set nickname no matter which language your followers use.
To better describe yourself as well as your strategy, you can manually select from these hashtags to add to your profile: high frequency, low frequency, aggressive, stable, short term, and long term. Also, you can choose to display your total equity (in USDT) on your Trade page if you want to (by enabling this function in your settings), otherwise it is disabled by default.
Managing followers
Traders can view all followers and their equity in My Trades then Followers on the Copy Trade page. In addition, you can choose to remove followers whose equity balance is lower than 100 USDT (this applies for both futures and spot traders). Removed followers will not be able to follow you again within 60 minutes; they won’t copy your new orders but their current copied orders are not affected.
Profit Sharing Scheme for Traders
As a trader on Bitget One-Click Copy Trade, you can share up to 10% of your followers’ profits. This is a summary of the profit sharing scheme for traders:
The amount of BGB locked |
Copy Trade Profit Rebate |
1,000 BGB |
4% |
2,000 BGB |
6% |
3,000 BGB |
8% |
4,000 BGB |
10% |
This number will appear on the trader's profile when a user decides to follow them. We believe that this win-win strategy will encourage traders to constantly improve their strategies, thereby unlocking even more earning opportunities in the future. Owning BGB is also extremely advantageous, because the value of BGB is derived from the flourishing of Bitget, which can be dictated by you; your contributions as a thriving trader will in turn help grow BGB prices substantially and benefit you in the long term. Moreover, being recognised as a trader on Bitget One-Click Copy Trade is equivalent to a KOL exposed to our network of 20 million users worldwide - take advantage of it and make trading even more profitable!
Elite trader tiers
To boost traders’ motivation and encourage better performance, we have introduced the Bitget elite trader tiering system with six tiers of Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Extraordinary and Legend. The higher the tier, the more perks and benefits traders will receive.
Settlement
• When the trader closes a position, the system will deduct the estimated profit from the follower’s account in advance if the follower has made a profit that meets the minimum requirement for profit-sharing. The follower’s actual profit sharable for copy trading that day will be paid at 12:00 A.M. the next day. Such "actual total profit" will be the amount payable to the trader.
• If the actual profit sharable is less than the deducted profit from the follower’s account, then the over-deducted amount will be refunded to the follower, and the residual amount will be paid to the trader.
• If the futures used by the trader for initiating a copy trade is a Coin-Margined Futures, the shared profit will be distributed in that particular coin. However, it will be displayed in equivalent USDT on the profit-sharing page of the app, based on the exchange rate on the distribution day.
Check profit-sharing data
You can check the details of your shared profits from copy trade under My Trade then Profit-sharing on your homepage.
• Profits shared, Profits to be shared, Profits yesterday: All profits will be shown in USDT, but the actual profits will be distributed in the currency used as the margin by followers.
• The "Profits to be shared" is a dynamic value.
• Total shared profits and history shared profits: Only users with positive profits will be displayed in the details.
Profit-sharing requirements
• If the follower is not following any open positions of the trader (meaning all his positions have been closed), the profit to be shared will be distributed the next day.
• If there are still open copy trading positions, the profit share will not be paid until the last post is closed. In that case, the profit share will be paid the next day in aggregate.
Profit-sharing account
The futures account used by the trader to receive the shared profit should be the same as what he uses to initiate a copy trade.
E.g. If the trader initiates a copy trade of BTC / USDT, the profit to be shared will be distributed to his BTC / USDT futures account the next day. If the trader initiates a copy trade of BTC / USDT, the profit to be shared will be distributed to his BTC / USDT futures account the next day.
Examples
"Profit to be Shared" includes: Profit sharable from history orders and profit sharable from the orders closed on the current day.
If the profit from the closed positions is positive, the Profit to be Shared Today is expected to grow. If the profit from the closed positions is negative, the Profit to be Shared Today is expected to decrease.
Assuming User A / B / C / D is following trader M with positions featuring the following futures: BTC / USDT, ETH / USDT, BCH / USD.
Scenario 1:
User A has followed trader M to open a position with BCH / USD and fully closed his position prior to the settlement time with a profit of 0.1 BCH.
In this case, 0.1 BCH * 8% = 0.008 BCH will be deducted from the follower’s account in advance; then, the trader will receive his profit share of 0.008 BCH the next day. If the exchange rate on the profit distribution day is 1 BCH for 350 USD, the profit-sharing data shown on the homepage would be 2.8 USDT.
Scenario 2:
User B has followed trader M to open positions with BTC / USDT, ETH / USDT and BCH / USD, and closed all of them prior to the settlement date, with respective profits being 30 USDT, 20 USDT and - 0.1 BCH.
In this case, 30 USDT * 8% + 20 USDT * 8% - 0.1 BCH * 8% will be deducted from the follower’s account in advance. If the exchange rate on the profit distribution day is 1 BCH for 300 USD, the trader will receive 1.6 USDT the next day.
Scenario 3:
User C has followed trader M to open positions with BTC / USDT, ETH / USDT and BCH / USD, and the respective profit is 30 USDT, 20 USDT and - 0.1 BCH. He then closed all positions with positive profit and left the losing position open prior to the settlement time.
In this case, 30 USDT * 8% + 20 USDT * 8% will be deducted from the follower’s account in advance but will not be distributed to the trader the next day. If User C closes the losing position on the third day and the exchange rate on that day is 1 BCH for 280 USD, the trader will receive 1.76 USDT on the fourth day.
Scenario 4:
User D has followed trader M to open positions with BTC / USDT, ETH / USDT and BCH / USD, and all positions with positive or negative profit remain open prior to the settlement time. In this case, no profit will be deducted from the follower’s account in advance.
Elite Trader's Badges
For Bitget Copy Trade’s elite traders, badges are ‘wearable’ items showcasing their achievements, their growth or contributions to Bitget’s trading ecosystem. You can see it as verified trophies available to be displayed and accessed online; they can also inform your followers and followers-to-be of your unique trading style in an intuitive way, therefore helping both sides synchronise faster, more efficiently.
Once an elite trader meets the required condition for a badge, the badge will be immediately available for them to view, show off and/or share until the next Monday. If one trader stays in the game in the next review cycle, the badge they are wearing/showing off will still be visible, otherwise they’ll be turned off by the system.
To view, show off and/or share your badges, go to your personal Trader homepage or go to [Profile] then [Badge] and select the one you want to wear.
