FAQ
What is FCN?
A fixed coupon note (FCN) is a structured financial product linked to a stock. After depositing USDT, you receive a fixed interest amount at maturity. Under certain market conditions, your principal may be converted into spot stock (rToken).
Product highlights
Fixed coupon
Lock in a fixed annual coupon: you earn the agreed interest regardless of whether the stock purchase is triggered at maturity.
Buy quality stock at the target price
If the stock price falls below the strike price at maturity, you purchase the spot stock (rToken) at the strike price, thus opening a quality stock position at a lower price. If the stock price does not fall below the strike price, you get your principal back in full plus the fixed interest.
Earning sources
FCN's fixed coupon comes from the derivatives market pricing of the linked underlying asset. Bitget obtains quotes from partner financial institutions (investment banks and derivatives market makers) and converts the derivatives yield into a fixed return for users.
Risks
Non-principal-protected: If the market price at maturity is below the strike price, the user will purchase the stock at the strike price, and the market value of the stock received may be lower than the initial principal.
No early redemption: The product subscription cannot be redeemed before maturity. Ensure you are subscribing with funds that are not needed elsewhere during the lock-up period.
Extreme market risk: If the linked stock is subject to suspension, delisting, stock split, or reverse split, the settlement method and timeline may be affected and will be handled in accordance with the agreement with the issuer.
Are there any subscription fees for FCN?
The product charges no transaction fees, subscription fees, or redemption fees.
Who is FCN suitable for?
The product is suitable for investors who have a reasonable understanding of the linked asset and accept the possibility of purchasing the linked asset at the strike price under specific conditions.
Can FCN subscriptions be redeemed early?
You may cancel your subscription order at any time up to 30 minutes before the subscription closes, at no charge. After this point, the order enters the matching and confirmation process and cannot be cancelled.
The transaction result will be confirmed within 1 Hong Kong business day after the subscription end date. Once the transaction is successful, early redemption is not supported during the product term.
Is a successful transaction guaranteed after submitting a subscription?
If the total subscription amount does not meet the issuance threshold, or if the stock price experiences extreme volatility, the product may not be issued successfully. In such cases, subscription funds will be returned to users' accounts by the subscription end date.
What are the entry price and strike price?
Entry price: The initial entry price is the opening/closing price of the linked U.S. stock on the subscription end date (in the U.S. market timezone). Price data is sourced from Bitget's U.S. stock market feed.
Strike price: Strike price = entry price × knock-in level.
For specific prices, refer to the FCN positions page.
How are earnings at maturity settled?
On the final observation date, if the stock price does not fall below the strike price, you will receive your principal back in full plus the fixed interest. Otherwise, your principal will be used to purchase the stock at the strike price.
