io.net Launches Pledge Program, Block Rewards Available by Pledging Devices in the IO Network
Solana eco DePIN protocol io.net announced the launch of its Pledge Program, designed to enhance the security and performance of the Internet of GPUs (IOG) while providing community members with the opportunity to earn rewards through their contributions. By pledging devices to the IOG network, users can turn computing power into a revenue stream and allocate block rewards based on device performance. The program accommodates devices ranging from high-end GPUs to more modest setups. The pledge program allows users to contribute directly to the IO Network, increasing its resilience to threats and improving its ability to operate at scale, thereby enhancing network security. To ensure transparency and fairness, io.net has implemented safeguards such as a penalty policy that penalizes fraudulent activity, thereby maintaining the integrity of the network. Participants must pledge IO tokens corresponding to the functionality of their devices to qualify for block rewards. The program also provides a 14-day de-pledging period for users wishing to withdraw their tokens, during which time the device will not receive block rewards. After the program launches, there will be a 14-day grace period after which the minimum pledge requirements will come into effect. These requirements will appear on a user's block reward nomination list shortly after launch, with the exact block ID to be enforced to be announced separately. Previously on August 19, DePIN protocol io.net opened for pledging.
