Crypto lawyer: Nothing can stop Ripple from selling its XRP
Cryptocurrency lawyer Bill Morgan stated that there is nothing stopping Ripple from selling its XRP. Anyone can sell their assets. The question is whether or not Ripple needs to register the sale and quotation of XRP with the SEC in the United States. If Ripple sells XRP programmatically like it has in the past, registration is not necessary because the legal system views this type of sale by Ripple as not being an investment contract.
