What is The Render Network (RNDR)?

The Render Network is a decentralized network on the Ethereum blockchain that connects creators who need to render digital videos and images but lack the graphics processing unit (GPU) to do so, and those who have unused processing power. The project was created in 2017 by Jules Urbach, the Founder of OTOY, a GPU-based software solution for rendering digital contents.

How The Render Network (RNDR) Works

Those who request rendering jobs on the Render Network are called "Creators". They need to send their files to the Network and pay for the rendering work in RNDR token. The works are then distributed to people who have registered their GPUs and are known as "Node Operators". The Node Operators process the files as requested and get paid in RNDR token. The Network gets a fraction of the fee paid by Creators.
