What is Collab.Land (COLLAB)?

Collab.Land is a unique community tool that uses ERC-20 tokens to control access to gated Telegram and Discord channels. The project was co-founded by James Young, Raymound Feng, and Anjali Young in 2020. In the span of two years, the tool has won the hearts and minds of more than 41,000 communities, including the likes of MetaMask and Axie Infinity. It seems like the project is well on its way to encouraging prosocial activities as its mission sets out.

How Collab.Land (COLLAB) Works

Basically, Collab.Land is software that simplifies the DAO experience for users and moderators. It's a bot that can be added to crypto communities on Discord or Telegram. This bot allows you to manage tokenomics and chat accessibility. Additionally, Collab.Land automates DAO operations based on the given organizational structure, including token voting weight, role assignment, and blockchain selection. The project is one of the pioneers of the Web3 movement, which is about user-owned internet. Though the project is mostly funded by private money, users can show support by buying an NFT for 6.9 ETH.

COLLAB is the token that is issued to community members, Collab.Land Membership NFT holders, and Collab.Land Patron NFT holders in the first half of 2023. The utilities of COLLAB  will be proposed by the top 100 communities of Collab.Land, and the Collab.Land team will refine the proposals to best meet each community's needs.
